Bird Crazy Thanks

I believe this is the only Bird Crazy stamp I had left to get inky!

Made this pink and white tag card for a co-worker who was my supervisor, but is moving on to another job, still within the company. She made life less stressful for me this past year and half.

The paper used is all from an old paper pad by Tim Holtz called Vintage Shabby. I have been hoarding it!

I used the matching dies for this cutie and coloured it with pencils and Gamsol.

Sentiment is a TH/Sizzix die. Used a TH stencil with paste and a SU flower punch.

Lots of bits and bobs on this; drywall tape, crepe paper, tulle, cheesecloth, Hug Snug ribbon, glitter pink eyelet Some Nuvo clear transparent enamel drops, Stickles on the flower, and a Dew Drop.

Some closeups:

The inside. I covered up the message.

And the back.

Tiny houses, boys and dogs

Second day of vacation. Didn't plan anything for today, as I had a lengthy dentist appointment and Mike had a hair appointment. So, day 2 in my craft room!

Bought the Tim Holtz Tiny Houses die. Really enjoyed making these! Love these Tim Holtz Paper Dolls too!

Be Amusing

Finally got to play with my Distress Oxide Inks! I LOVE them! I love how they are so much easier to tint rayon ribbon too! Great product! Can't wait for the rest of the set!

This lovely lady is from a Carabelle Studio stamp set called, "Woman and Bird". She is stamped right on the tag, then I stamped her again on card stock. Coloured her skin, hair with pencils. Glued her on the tag. Stamped her crown on card stock; cut out. Stamped her again on card stock. Tinted her dress with chalks; cut out and glued it on. Lots of paper piecing! My fav!

The sentiment stamp which I stamped on a separate piece of paper then cut out, is from Impression Obsession.

Acetate hearts from Heidi Swapp. Added some Stickles, here and there and TH Tissue Tape.

Close up.

The back of the tag. Another sentiment stamp from Impression Obsession. Love this one! Stars are Heidi Swapp.

Happy long weekend to my US crafty friends! Hope its warm where you are. Still single digits here! I think spring by passed us all together!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be Prepared...

Today we're off to a birthday party for a special person. Mike's cousin, Donald, is celebrating his 80th birthday today!

He is well liked and respected in his community. A long time boy scout leader and teacher. The event is being held in the community legion.

My stash was lacking any type of boy scout, teacher stamps, or dies. I found this image and the Canadian Boy Scout book image, on the web.

The paper is from TH Dapper collection. I used postage stamp paper as the background, as he also collected postage stamps.

Words are TH Typeset Decorative Edge die. A metal button, drywall tape and a pen nib stamped image to compete the front.

The inside. Used ruler paper and lined paper with notebook punch, to represent his many years as a teacher. The words I printed off and cut out.

The back. TH paper to also represent his career as a teacher.

First card made in my new craft room. Still fine tuning!

Hope you are having a wonderful long weekend!

OMG! You're how old?

A co-worker who I have known for 20 some years celebrated the big 5-0 today! Mark  and his wife Stephanie are proud parents to a sweet fur baby pup named Sam, so I just had to use my TH Dog Crazy stamps!

I used coloured pencils and popped him up with foam dots. Used googly eyes and I also popped up his nose. I don't have the matching dies, just yet! They're on order!

A little drywall tape at the bottom an cheese cloth at the top. Added some button brads and star die cuts.

Still don't have a craft room so I made this at a crop a few weeks ago. Can't remember the paper used. I use an extra large tag, folded, as my base. Some TH tissue tape at the bottom and a safety pin.

  The inside.

And the back.

  Have a fabulous birthday Mark!

Almost crafty room ready! Shelving is all done, now Mike says it's all mine to fill it back up! Will post photos!

Thanks for stopping by!

Distress Ink Pad Carousel

After having this carousel for about a year, I finally decorated it! Lisa's husband Tony made this to house the Distress Inks. I believe he made one to house the Stamping' Up pads as well. Not sure he still makes these. This was a couple of years ago.

I think I may be changing out these inks for the new oxides!

Used a variety of TH papers (of course!), and added word stickers, hardware cut outs and bling. Love how this turned out! Used tissue tape as well along the base and the the edges, and along the top.

More photos of the different sides. This does spin around too.

This is what it looked like before I started adding the papers.

Glad I finally finished this! Have a great weekend!

Happy Easter! I am still without a craft room, but I did manage to attend another local crop and I made this for Mike's aunt.

Love this bunny stamp! It's from REDLead Paperworks. Papers are Prima and Prills are in his hat. Tim Holtz on the edge doily die.
