Sweet Tea Tag

Got this "new to me" Gorjuss Girl stamp inked up, and made a tag for a dear friend.

All papers used are from Prima. The flower is made from several punches. Lots of paper piecing going on here! The doily is TH/Sizzix Doily die. Got out another TH stencil for the bottom. The top part of the tag I used the Elizabeth Craft Design Tags & More 2 - Deco. Coloured pencils for her face, hands and hair.

The back of the tag. Sentiment and teacups are from Stamping Bella. Used the TH/Sizzix ATC die cut. Tinted some seam binding with DI, Victorian Velvet.

I made this tag for 2 reasons. One, my friend is going through a rough patch right now, and second, I gave her a cup and saucer that was the same pattern as her mom's, that she inherited.

I bought it back in the '70s when I lived on my own, and some friends and I would get together at each other's place once a week for a tea party! Lol! Now, it was just sitting in my cupboard, and at this stage in my life, we are starting to unload, so this was the perfect spot for this cup and saucer; with Melanie!

This is the cup and saucer I gave to Melanie. It's the Royal Albert Petit Point pattern:

This is also ties in with a Flickr group I'm in. Their challenge for July is, "Tag Your It".

Thanks for stopping by! Hope your weekend is filled with craftiness!

It's Your Birthday

It has been a couple of busy months for card making for me! I'm on a roll!

This was fun! Made it for Mike's cousin who celebrated her 30th birthday yesterday.

Used TH/Sizzix ATC die and inked it up with 4 colours of Distress Ink; spritzed with water and added his Doily stencil with texture paste.

Stamped "it's your birthday" on vellum and then tore   around it. Stamp is from TH/Stampers "Crazy Talk" set.

Doodled around the edges, added Liquid Pearls and sequins, here and there. Inked 3 wooden hearts with same DI colours.

The top right edge I used a die from the TH/Sizzix Thinlits, "Mixed Media"set.

Inside. Sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps set, "Birthday Greetings". Tissue tape is from Michaels. Part of their Boho line.

Inside showing the left side where I stuck a pocket for money or a gift card.

Back and front.

Going to be a hot sticky one today! Not a good hair day! Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Wedding Card

Happily Ever After. I made this card for a co-worker, whose bride-to-be was also a co-worker, Mark and Stephanie.

I don't have a lot of wedding, bride and groom supplies. When I saw this image on Pinterest, I thought it looked exactly like Mark and Stephanie! Lol!

Used an extra large tag, folded in half. All papers are from G45, A Ladies Diary. Doily is TH/Sizzix Doily die. Flowers are from my stash. Tinted seam binding with DI Tattered Rose. Added some tulle, bling, Liquid Pearls and a black velvet sparkly ribbon. Heart dies are Spellbinders.

The inside. Sentiment stamp is from Stampin' Up. Heart die is Spellbinders.

The inside, left. Added a pocket for a gift card, money, or cheque. The stamp on the pocket is also from the same Stampin' Up! set.

The back

Love making vintage, shabby chic cards! Thanks for stopping by! Hump day!

Wishes and hugs to Mark and Stephanie!

Ask me to dance...

New stamp, so I had to ink her up! She is from the company, Santoro, the Mirabelle girls series.

This one is called "Ask me to dance", which was on the banner that she is holding, but it's so small you could barely read it, so I printed the words off and placed beside her. Coloured pencils for her face and hands and hair. then paper pieced the rest.

The tag is Prima and is pale pink, but I added some different colours of Distress Inks; spritzed with water. Tore off the bottom and added a pale rose print tag from the same tag set, behind.

Love the TH stencil, "Doily"! The flowers? on the left are from the same stamp set. I doodled around the edges, added some sequins, Liquid Pearls and tulle. Seam binding tinted with DI Victorian Velvet.

The top part of the tag is a die cut. Love this! Bought quite awhile ago and never used until today! It's a set of die cut tag toppers and different die cuts for the holes. It's from Elizabeth Craft Designs, and it's called "Tags & More - Lace".

This is for a Flickr group I'm in. The July challenge is "Tags".

Last day of vacation! Hope you had a terrific weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
