Wedding Money Card

I made this money card for Mike's "niece" and fiance. They are getting married Saturday.
Papers I used were from the KaiserCraft collection, "Rustic Harmony". Love this paper!

Flower is made with Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and the Tattered Flower Garland die. Applied some Distress Stickles, Tattered Rose and Scattered Straw to the tips to make it crunchy.
Black bling in the centre, some tulle underneath. Rose Gold Liquid Pearl along the edge of the card.

The tag out of the pocket. Tinted the seam binding with Distress Ink Tattered Rose.

The back of the tag, with a SU quote from the "Ever After" set. This is where I signed the card from Mike and I.

The card opened to reveal the pocket with the Tim Holtz Distressed Doily. You would insert the money behind the doily, in the pocket.

The back.

I made a matching envelope, but I forgot to take a picture of it! This was fun to make!

Hope you had a wonderful week and were able to get inky! Starting to redo my craft room, so I may not be getting inky as much as I would like!

The weekend is just around the bend! Have a great one!

I Love Lucy

"You're not OLD, you're VINTAGE!"

A friend was celebrating a milestone birthday last month. Inked up my Lucy stamp! Yes, this is a rubber stamp! I got her from Stampsmith Art Rubber Stamps and Photostamps

I stamped her on glossy paper with black ink and tinted her with chalks. Added Diamond Stickles on her earring.

Papers used are from Bo Bunny and MME. I used my label machine for the sentiment. The two hearts are from a TH die I just bought called, Heartfelt.

Tucked some tulle and black Punchinella (sequin waste), I got at a local fabric store, just under the photo stamp and attached a couple of sequins on top.

Added a strip of black rosette/tuille ribbon at the bottom and tucked a little feather behind the big heart.

The inside. Sentiment and wine glass stamps are from the set called, "Smart & Sassy Sayings" from Hot Off the Press.

The back.

Hump day! Hope you are having a great week! It's going to be a wet one today!

Thanks for stopping by! Get inky!

Seahorse Paint Chips Card

A quick card tonight. I recently bought the Nautical Blueprint stamps & the new Distress Ink mini's, Cracked Pistachio, Abandoned Coral and Fossilized Amber.
I also have way too many paint chips! Lol! Mike says they are going to catch on, and ban me from the store!
Picked out some seashore colours with appropriate colour names. The sentiment on the front is from a stamp set from Artistic Outpost called, "Beyond the Sea".
The inside. This sentiment stamp is from Stampendous!

The back. Will have to dig out some more paint chips and make some more cards and ATC's. Good way to use some stamps I haven't inked up yet! Hope you try this out!

Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!

Masterpiece Card

"Make each day your masterpiece"
~ John Wooden

I felt like getting a little shabby-ish & vintage-ish! Lol! Used a large tag, folded in half for the base.

LOVE this paper! Prima "Time Traveler's" set. Had fun making this one. Flower is TH Tattered Flowers dies with Distress Stickles, Tattered Rose on top to make it crunchy! All sorts of stuff on this one! Feathers, chocolate brown tulle tied in a knot in the eyelet. Prima Wired Thread around the sentiment, dies, enamel dots, Prima Crystal, and my fav rosette/tulle ribbon!
Close up. The sentiment is from a stamp set from Cornish Heritage Farms called "Mona Lisa Moments". Thought it was perfect for the frame!

The inside. The 2 sentiment stamps, "Just Saying Hello" & "just because..." are from the Hero Arts set called, "Everyday Sayings".

And of course, the back! You're never done until the back is done! Lol!

Mermaid Card

Hold on tight to your dreams

Playing with a new stamp I bought a while ago. Her name is Mergirl and she is a Santoro stamp from the Mirabelle collection.
I stamped her on watercolour paper and then I stamped her again on another piece of watercolour paper, which I used to colour her face and hair with Copic's, watercolour pencils, colour pencils and Gamsol.
I cut her head, including her shoulders out and attached to the first image I stamped her full body on. Next, I stamped her body on some olive green paper and cut it out and glued down. Ditto for the shell she is holding; stamped on paper that had a pearl sheen to it; cut out and attached. Same for her arm.
Added some sequins and Liquid Pearl Rose Gold. I also paper pieced the starfish in her hair.
The sentient is from Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker set. Added some Liquid Pearl Avocado on either end.
The "seaweed" is cheesecloth that I inked up and sprayed with various shades of browns and greens.

Fun to make! I have another one of these Mirabelle Girl stamps, and will have to try her out!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a great summer! We are on our second week of vacation. Went to Prince Edward Island last week for 4 days and enjoyed it very much. Went for a bike ride in Cavendish, spent a day in Charlottetown, and just relaxed at the cottage!

Hope you find some time to get inky!
