A Doctor Who Christmas Card

Card I made for Mike. The funny thing is, he doesn't watch Doctor Who! I'm the obsessed one!

Found this image on Pinterest. Also found a card with this sentiment, except I crossed off WHO and put YOU! Lol!

Papers are from Craft and You and it's called "Frozen Paper". Beautiful set!

This is a sideview so you can see that I made the TARDIS 3D. I glued it to some Grunge paper and gently folded it and mounted it with foam squares.

Happy Holidays

Made this card for friends of ours. Gave it to them last week, so it's safe to post!

Just got these TH blueprint stamps in a couple of weeks ago. Love them! The other 2 in the set is a tin soldier and a Christmas tree.

I stamped them on the background paper, and then stamped again on a matching piece from the set. Used coloured pencils and glitter pens.

The sentiment is also TH, from the set called "Simple Sayings"
The inside. The sentiment stamp is from a Hero Arts set called "Merry Christmas Message" set.

One more day, or 1/2 day, then I'm off until January 4th!

Have a wonderful Christmas and thanks for stopping by!

We Wish You A Merry Christmas

I made this for Mike's aunt Dorothy. She has received it so I won't spoil the surprise!

Love this angel stamp! I bought it at a crafty yard sale.

I stamped it on the background paper I selected. I then paper pieced the angels wings and used coloured pencils, white Wink of Stella and glitter pens. Glued them on grunge paper and attached them to card.

I have a bag of pre-cut stickers of poinsettias, holly, etc. that I've had for years. Decided to use them on my cards this year.

The inside. The sentiment is from the TH set, "Mini Handwritten Holidays".

The back.

Here is the stamp set I used. Magenta, Merry Christmas Angels:

I will be posting Christmas cards over the next few days. Hope you're ready for the big day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Make Today A Beautiful Day!

Happy Birthday Mel!

Today is my friend Melanie's birthday. I gave her this card already, so I'm not spoiling anything!
I'm a new fan of these "Pure Innocence" stamps from MFT. The sentiment is part of the set and it's called, "Sunflower Girl", which is Mel's favourite flower!
I paper pieced her and added some tulle under her dress, and a sequin in her hair.

The "Just for You" stamp, which includes the girl with the flower and heart, is from a CTMH set called "What A Great Day". The other 2 sentiment stamps are from my stash.

And the back. The smiley face stamp is also from the CTMH set.

Have a fabulous birthday Melanie!
Wishes and hugs!

A Manly Birthday

Timeless

A friend is celebrating a milestone birthday today.

Love this vintage guy! He looks like Tom Selleck to me! Anyone else see the resemblance? He's part of a great set of stamps from TH/Brett Weldele & Stampers Anonymous, called "Time Travelers".

I used coloured pencils and Gamsol and popped him up. Background papers are from TH Kraft-Core Shattered Collection. Added some black corrugated cardstock at the bottom and tucked a feather in behind his jacket.

Used the small TH gear dies and added some screw brads. Love my "new to me" die set, called "Mixed Media"! It's the diamond shape corner; top right. Awesome set! Had to add a couple of sequins, in a chocolate brown. Sentiment is from the Chit Chat sticker pad.

The inside. Sentiment stamp is from 7gypsies.

The back.

The weekend is almost here! Hopefully we'll get the tree up and decorated!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gingerbread Man

My first Christmas card of the season! The recipient has received it, so it's safe to post it.
I LOVE the blueprint stamps! Was late getting this set. I decided at the last minute to buy it. I usually get the mini blueprints, but went with the 4 big ones; Gingerbread Man, Gingerbread House, Candy Cane and Peppermint Candy. Looking forward to inking up the other three!
The papers used are from my Christmas paper stash, which is a mix of papers from over the years! I really need to buy some new paper!
The sentiment is also TH, "Simple Sayings" set. He was paper pieced on some patterned brown paper and then popped up a bit. Added some brown pencil and Gamsol around his edges.
I used Stickles on his buttons and bow tie, black bling on his eyes, and white Liquid Appliqué on his mouth, around his arms and legs. You can't tell by the photo, but it is puffy!
Added some Liquid Pearls, sequins, baker's twine and ribbon to complete!

The inside. Sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado. Red Liquid Pearls for berries on the side.

The back.

Have a great week and hope you get some shopping done! I haven't started and I'm starting to panic just a little bit!

Angel ATCs

Angels We Have Heard On High
Flickr Group ATC Swap 2015

I'm in a crafty group on Flickr, where we share our creative masterpieces and have the occasional swap.

I have made several ATC's over the past year, and they are one of my fav things to make!

The theme for this swap was Angels, and we had to make 2 for 2. I was in a couple of groups, so I had to make a total of 8 ATC's for 4 ladies.

The destination for my ATCs were: Australia, Thailand, B.C. and New Brunswick.

  In no particular order...

This was a fun swap! I made them all at a weekend crop back in September. You know when all the stars align and your mojo was dead on? Well, that's what happened that weekend! Got them all done ahead of time! Still waiting for a couple of mind to arrive. I will post the one's I received here, when I get them all.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you got a lot of great sales today, Black Friday! Hope you got some crafty goodies!

A thank you card for a special friend (Hugs and Wishes!). Still in love with the Bird Crazy stamps and matching dies! This fella has a pair of googly eyes!

Papers used are all from the DCWV collection called Vintage Collector. Sentiment die is Sizzix/TH Thinlits Celebrate collection. Added a feather and some sequins. I used Distress Inks to colour the bird.

I don't think I will ever get tired of the Bird Crazy set! I still have one bird I haven't used yet.

Getting caught up on my posts before the Christmas rush. Hope you are getting organized. The big day is not far off!

Coffee Wine Card

I love coffee, tea and wine! Made this birthday card for Mike's "niece" Shannon.
I love Tim Holtz blueprint stamps! You either love them or not! I stamped it first on the card and then stamped it again on patterned paper and cut the mug out. Paper piecing is my all time fav technique.
The paper is from an old collection from KaiserCraft called "Le Chateau".
Added some raffia, glassine paper and a couple of coffee beans!
Tucked in at the top is a the definition of "coffee" I tore out of an old dictionary.
The sentiment stamp is from Riley and Company.

Wine stamp is from a set from Hot Off The Press called, Smart & Sassy Sayings. The sentiment is something I typed, and then printed off. Again, I tore out the definition of wine from an old dictionary.

The back.

Hump day is over! Hope you are home relaxing with a nice cuppa coffee, tea, wine, or whatever your favourite beverage is!

Thanks for stopping by!

Witchy Tag and Halloween Cards

You say Witch like it's a bad thing

Love making Halloween cards and tags! Didn't get as many done as I wanted this year.

The witch stamp is from Stampendous! called "Mirror Mirror", and that's what I stamped her on!

I used Tim Holtz Mirrored Sheets. I left the film on the glass (by accident!) and then stamped on top using black Stazon Ink. Love the way it turned out, with all the little imperfections! Glad I left the film on!

The frame is TH Sizzix Ornate Frame die. Cut it out using Grunge paper. The cat is also a TH Sizzix die from the Mini Cat and Raven set.

Added some sequins, black tulle, lace, and brads. All the paper used is from MME Midnight Magic Halloween.

Ticket word stamp is from the Stampers TH Odds and Ends set. A nice big wired black bow to finish it off!

Sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co.

Bought a bag of spiders at Dollarama

You can see my reflection in the mirror. Added some Pewter and Dusty Concord Distress Stickles to frame to give it some crunchiness.

Entering this tag in:

Here are some cards I made in a class earlier in the month taught by my good friend Melanie.
The top left card is a shaker card with sequins in it! Loved making these!

Hope you managed to get some Halloween cards or tags done. I ordered some new Halloween stamps, so I may play with them when they arrive!

Have a good one, and thanks for stopping by!
