A Card For A Lady

Some paper sets are sacred. You can't get enough of it. You buy doubles or triples, just in case you run out or they discontinue it. You know what I'm talkin' about. You become a paper hoarder.
This card was made with special paper for a special lady. Carol Anne or as she is affectionately called, "Mama Bear" to us local crafters, love, love, love Graphic 45's "A Lady's Diary" collection. We love pretty much all of their paper lines, but this one is simply beautiful!
I made this card for Mama Bear to thank her and her husband Jerry for giving me a ride to the Spring Fling Scrapbooking Weekend in New Glasgow last month. I had the best time ever at my first weekend crop!
The lovely lady is a stamp (including the script behind her), and so is the frame and sentiment. They are from the "A Lady's Diary" stamp set; one of 3 sets. I paper pieced her from various patterned sheets from the set. Flowers were fussy cut from ALD paper also. I also used Liquid Pears, Bisque on the frame. All paper and stamps bought from my fav local paper craft emporium, The Cutting Garden

Fussy cut this flower from ALD paper and added some Distress Stickles, Scattered Straw and Tattered Rose to the centre.

A Happy Easter

One more Easter card to post! This is more of a manly card.
Had to use my new die cut! Love it! It's the new TH Frameworks Trellis die. I have a feeling I'll be getting the others in this series! The base the bunny is on, is the leftover scrap from when I cut out the trellis. Lots of possibilities!
Bunny was on a card I had in my stash. Sentiment is from Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments set. The sentiment is on the Memory Box Lovely Lei die, the centre part which is usually scrap. Tucked some cheesecloth under sentiment.

The inside. Sentiment is also from Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments stamp set. More Trellis "scraps" used here. Paper is all from Authentique Remember 6x6 pad set.

Dies I used:

For you local crafters, both of these dies (and lots more!) are available to purchase from Kim at The Cutting Garden

Have a great Easter and hopefully it's sunny and warm where you are, because it's not here! Boo!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a word or two! Muchly appreciated!

Vintage Easter Cards

I made these 2 Easter cards for a class I taught at The Cutting Garden here in Halifax. They were inspired by cards I saw on Pinterest. All papers are from the 12x12 Graphic 45 Sentiments paper collection. Butterflies and flowers are Martha Stewart punches.

Card 2. Love the vintage images in this paper collection!

This was the 3rd card class I taught. Feeling more relaxed and confident with 3 under my belt! Thinking of a page layout class next!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend with friends and family! Thanks for stopping by!

Chocolate Bunny, Yum!

There is still a couple of weeks before Easter, but I thought I would start posting some cards that I made.
This one I made for my Crafty Group Card Swap. He now resides with Carol!
My very favourite Easter stamp, the chocolate bunny from Stampin' Up! Papers used are all from Authentique Hope collection. The die cut frames are Tim Holtz Mini Cabinet Card, and Vintage Cabinet card.
Used Martha Stewart edge punches, "Bunnies In Grass", and "Picket Fence". Seam Binding tinted with Distress Ink, Stormy Sky.

I punched out a bit of his ear to make it look like someone took a bite! Hee hee!

The inside. Love this stamp!

The back. I couldn't resist buying this sentiment stamp! (top of card). Too funny! For you local crafters, I bought from Kim, at The Cutting Garden.
Went to my very first scrapbooking retreat this past weekend! Had a wonderful time with some very crafty ladies! Can't wait to go again!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a word or two! Muchly appreciated!
