My Favourite Witch

I remember being scared of the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz when I was a kid! She is my favourite witch, and when I think of her I think of the catchy little diddy they play when she's on her bike!
The image is from the web which I uploaded to Pixlr, a free photo edit site. I added the grungy filmstrip, gave it a vintage colour, added text and blood splats! Fabulous program! Words are from the web too.
The sentiment is a stamp from the Close to My Heart, Wicked set. The paper it's stamped on and the glittery paper covering the tag is from K&Company Brenda Walton Haunted set. Added some lace and eyelets, and tulle at the top.

Will be posting more Halloween cards/tags. Trying to get them all up before Wednesday!

Trick or Treat...Boo!

Cute or creepy? I find her a liiiitttle creepy! I think I read too much Stephen King! Love her either way! I pinned her on Pinterest (my other obsession!). Tried to find the source without any luck, but she is all over Pinterest! The awesome man in the moon is a freebie from Graphics Fairy
The paper is from Memory Box Blackbird 6x6 set, which I bought at The Cutting Garden. My co-worker, Louise said, "I love the tree branch stamp you used"! Well, it's not a stamp! It's on the paper!
The sentiment is a stamp from an Inkadinkado Halloween stamp set. The puffy bats I bought a Michaels last year, and the black lace ribbon is from a local fabric store. Black ribbon is from The Cutting Garden.

Here's the little girl image before I cut her out:

Witchy Woman...Boo!

I love Halloween! I love the decorations and all the creative costumes, not to mention rubber stamps! This lovely witch, broom and flourish is from the Close to My Heart set, called Wicked. The spiderweb stamps are from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Halloween.
I used Tim's watercolour technique; Distress Inks and water on teflon sheet, then "smoosh" the tag in it. Added some Lime Glimmer Mist.
Sentiment is from computer. The green bow is Hug Snug sprayed with Lime Glimmer Mist. I added some black ribbon from The Cutting Garden, and a bit of black tulle, which you can't see very well. Black lace ruffle ribbon is from Fabricville. Spider sticker is from my stash from Halloween's past!

This is the back. Paper is from my stash. The stamp is also from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Halloween. Hug Snug ribbon is coloured with DI Mulled Lavender. The book tag is from Tim's Tags and Bookplates Movers and Shapers die cut set.

With the tag out of the pocket. This sentiment (love it!) is from the Close to My Heart set.

And this is the back of the tag.

Happy Bird-day!

Today is Janette's birthday and this is the card I made for her. Janette is my husband's aunt, although, there is only 6 years between them, and they grew up together, so they are more like brother and sister.
Used paper from my new 6x6 paper stack! This set is Prima Firefly. Love it!

This adorable bird stamp is called Newsprint Bird (how appropriate!) and is a Hero Arts wood mounted stamp.
Stamped him on Claudine Helmuth Studio, Sticky-back Canvas with black ink; cut out ; inked edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. I then decided to stamp him again on paper from the Firefly set and glue to the canvas; inking edges with DI Vintage Photo.
I then added some Distress Ink Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint on top ; added a goggly eye. The small tag with string is from the Jewellery section at Michaels. I hand printed the sentiment. The tag is tacked down with a bit of glue, but it does move around.

The flowers are made with the Retro Daisy small and medium punches. Added Distress Clear Rock Candy Stickles to the larger one.

Pocket Tag Card?

Well the chill is certainly in the air. I do love fall. This card/tag however, may be a little springish?! I'm in a "Crafty Group" and we meet once a month at The Cutting Garden. As well as a card swap we usually make something together that we had agreed on at the last get-together.
I made this card for the swap, and Karen drew my name. All papers used are My Mind's Eye Sunshine 6x6 paper pad. Edge punch is MS Cherish. Some light blue tulle sticking out on the left.

The flower is Memory Box Upsey Daisies die cut, made with the same paper; inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. A button (perfect colour!) from my stash with some thread added to the centre.
The label with the bird is from the same paper pad, which I cut out and paper clipped to the organza bag. The bag is from Michael's $1.50 bin.

The tag out of the bag. The tag is cut from Sizzix Framelits Tags, Fancy Die Set. Added some photo corners too.

The other side of the tag, I stamped "Wishes", which is a Tim Holtz stamp.

The inside of the card with the larger tag from the Sizzix set, which I left blank for a sentiment to be added.

Lovely Rita

Rita Hayworth. I love the old movies and actors and actresses from the glamour years!
This is the card I made for The Stampsmith Yahoo Group Card Swap. Rita is now living with Margaret in Kingston Ontario!
She is a single photo image stamp available for purchase at The Stampsmith Shop.
All paper is from an old 8x8 pad set from Cosmo Cricket called Fleuriste. I bought it a few years ago at The Great Canadian Dollar Store in Yarmouth Nova Scotia! All the papers have a vintage feel.
The delicate frame is Memory Box Vaudeville Frame cut out of the same paper. The two fancy pieces on either side of the sentiment are Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco B, slightly altered to fit. Rosette lace is from The Cutting Garden. Sentiment and pearls are from Michael's $1.50 bin. Tinted Rita with Metallic Chalks from Pebbles. Tiara Stickles on her necklace.

The inside. This sentiment was a part of the paper pad set. I cut it out to fit. I thought it was perfect for Rita! Used Martha Stewart Traditional Eyelet punch on the bottom. Another corner from Cheery Lynn Lace Corner Deco B set.

The back. More of the same corners and MS Traditional Eyelet punch.

Enjoying the swaps, as long as it's only one to one. Don't know if I could handle more than one!

Mike and I are taking an extra long Thanksgiving weekend. We have Friday off as vacation day along with the holiday Monday.
Nothing but rest and relaxation and some play time with paper and ink! Thanks for stopping by!

This is the card I received from Autumn in sunny California in the Stampsmith Yahoo Group Card Swap. It is gorgeous! she used Distress Inks to colour her. Fabulous Autumn! Thank you very much!

It's October 1st already! The Stampsmith Challenge this month is "With Gratitude" and this card is dedicated to everyone who takes the time to stop by and leave me a kind word or two. Thank you! I truly appreciate every word!
This cutie is from the Thank Heaven for Little Girls #1 stamp sheet. I tinted the flowers using Metallic Chalks from Pebbles. The "Thanks" sentiment stamp is  from an unknown stamp set.
New paper alert!! This gorgeous 6x6 paper stack from Prima is called Firefly, and is available at The Cutting Garden. Doily is Cheery Lynn die called French Pastry. Pink ribbon is also from The Cutting Garden.

The flower is cut from same paper using the Upsey Daisy die cut from Die-Namics. Added some Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy in the centre to make it "crusty".

The inside. Used one flower from the same die cut.

The back

Hope you have a wonderful week, and just maybe this dang cold will finally go away!
