This is only the second time I made an ATC. I really love them. I don't know why I don't make them more often.
The background is a combination of Distress Inks and Glimmer Mists. I love this mesh! Picked it up a craft yard sale. It's called Magic Mesh and it's self-adhesive. This particular one is Copper Fine Weave. Sentiment is off the computer.
When I saw that Stampotique were having an ATC challenge, I had to join in! "Smile" is made for an ATC, don't you think? I'm 5'2", so I can poke fun at short people!

A Girl and Her Dolly

This little cutie is from the "Thank Heaven For Little Girls" sheet over at The Stampsmith Shop. One of 7 stamps on the sheet.
Stamped her on glossy cs with ColorBox Mudslide, and tinted her cheeks just a touch, with some rosy chalk. Ribbon is Hug Snug Seam Binding, inked with DI Tattered Rose and I added a rosette with tulle to the middle. The cute bird charm is from Bead Landing and some Tissue Tape Sketchbook on one corner. All papers are from Prima Almanac 6x6 paper stack. And of course, my photo corner punch!

Back (I forgot to add my stamp at the bottom):

Well it doesn't feel like spring here. Still on the chilly side, dark, dreary and drippy with rain!
Still time to participate in the The Stampsmith Challenge: Colours of Spring Remember, at least one Stampsmith Stamp required. You could win some rubber!
  Have a great week!

SCH: Fancy Folds: The Napkin Card

I would like to thank Cec and her Design Team over at Sugar Creek Hollow for selecting me as a Guest Designer for this challenge! So excited and pleased as punch!
This challenge couldn't be more perfect! I have been into fancy card folds lately, so this was a a great fit!
The fold I've chosen to tackle is called the Napkin Fold. This makes a great gift as well as a card, I think! You could hide a little pocket inside and insert a gift card, a favourite photo or a secret sentiment!
I started with one 12x12 sheet of double-sided patterned paper. The paper I used is from K&Company Susan Winget Nature pad. The base sheet is the orangey carmel colour. I then cut out pieces of paper from the same set and glued onto the corners. You could use rubber stamps, or stickers too.
The paper band that holds the ribbon and card together, is punched with MS Scalloped Dot edge punch. The flower die is Upsey Daisies from Die-namics. Ribbon is Hug Snug Seam Binding, inked with DI Vintage Photo.
I inked every edge with DI Vintage Photo.

Here is the unfolding!

The blue is the other side of the original 12x12 sheet I started with.
In the centre, I used a bird/script stamp from Third Coast Rubber Stamps. I stamped on matching cream paper from the set and cutout. The sentiment stamp is from Autumn Leaves. They are both on a matching piece of paper from the set, which had a flower on it.
This was great fun to make! Endless possibilities! I found the how-to on Youtube. Just search on Napkin Card Fold.
Hope to see your creativity over at Sugar Creek Hollow! Fabulous challenge!
We will choose one random winner who will receive a digi of our choice and a winner's badge. The Design Team will also choose one project as their Top Pick and the creator will receive a winner's badge and will be in the running for our monthly Guest Designer spot which will be determined after the last April challenge.

Heritage Layout

And now for something completely different! This is one of the layouts I have been working on in my Heritage Album. My grandparents; my dad's parents.
Very pleased how this turned out. I wanted to display their marriage lic. without the usual way of stuffing it in a pocket, so I printed it off on vellum; I slightly faded the text before printing. I then tore the edges and inked with DI Vintage Photo. Did the same with the journaling.
After I printed off their photo, I inked slightly with DI Vintage Photo. Flowers are Prima. Some bits and bobs from Tim's, Michaels. The doily the large flower is on is Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily. Leaves are MS. The paper pad used is one of my fav's! Basis Grey Cappella.

Springtime for Ava

I have been busy, busy, busy! I wandered off into my family tree! I joined for one month, and I am madly imputing and searching and going blind and so pooped I can't... well anyway, I'm not bored! Will be posting 3 heritage layouts I did over the last little while.

Made this card at the Crop for Cancer Saturday. They're held about once a month or so in a local church basement. Starts at 9am and goes to around midnight. $25.00 for the day will get you space, tools, food, awesome company and it's for a great cause. Went at 9am, but pooped out around 10:30pm! Not too shabby! Made 2 layouts and 2 cards.

This darling Ava Gardner card won me a $20 gift card to our fabulous paper craft store, The Cutting Garden! Saving it for something really, really good!

The Stampsmith Challenge Colours Of Spring is in full spring swing! Paper set I used is my current fav, KaiserCraft Sweet Nothings 61/2" pad. Flower, bling, bird and key charms from Michaels. The sentiment stamp with butterfly is Pinkpaislee Spring Jubilee set. I stamped her on white glossy cs with ColorBox Wicked Black ink, then lightly inked her all over with DI Old Paper. Used some pink chalk for her cheeks.

If you would like to purchase the lovely Ava stamp, contact the talented Estelle, owner of The Stampsmith Shop.

Easter Bunny For My Honey

Love Tim's rabbit stamp. I'm sure he's modelled after the white rabbit in Alice. I did this card the same way I did Mike's Valentine card, which you can see HERE
I used an egg template instead of a heart template. Heidi Swapp has a great video on how to mask using rubber stamps. The papers I used are from the KaiserCraft Sweet Nothings collection.
Can you see Abby and me?

Butterfly Wishes

Go big or go home! I bought Tim's very large Fanciful Flight die awhile ago and I finally got around to trying it out.
For the base, I used Alcohol Inks; pink, yellow, orange red. For the stained glass top, I used Grungepaper and then inked it with DI Black Soot. Then I took some sandpaper to it. The hardware I used for the body, is Bead Landing, which I purchased at Michaels.
All the pattern paper is K&Company Susan Winget Nature pad set. Used some DI Vintage Photo to ink up the edges.
The sentiment stamp is from Stamping Bella. Added some Tissue Tape and bling, and there you have it! Fanciful Flight! Fun!
