Bling In Brown

One of my fav Stampsmith stamps. Her name is "Bling" and I love her attitude! The January challenge is underway over at The Stampsmith Blog. It's "Tag Art" and the hostess with the mostess, is the very talented Lynne.
The paper set I used is from K&Company Susan Wright Nature Collection. The brown rosette ribbon with tulle, I purchased from a local scrapbooking store, The Cutting Garden. I inserted a mini pearl into each rosette. The rich brown wired satin ribbon, I got at Michaels. And of course, I tinted Bling with Pebbles chalks. Stickles in Platinum, Silver and Gold used on her jewels. Bling on her rings.

On the back of the tag, I made a pocket across the tag with the same paper to hold a small note card, which I just made free hand. Here are different views of the back; with card in pocket, and then with the card out of the pocket to show both sides. On the yellow side is where you can write a personal note.

Bling is entered in:
1. Simon Says Stamp And Show Anything But A Card
2. Sunday Stamper: After The Gold Rush
3. Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe: Anything Goes With Chalk

It was bitterly cold waiting for the bus today! -25C with the wind chill factor! Brrr!
Hope you are having a fabulous week! Keep warm and toasty! And if you are somewhere nice and warm, enjoy! (And if you are somewhere nice and warm and hot, I am really really jealous and I'd rather not know, thank you very much!)

Very proud! Bling in Brown was selected as one of the Chalkboard winners for the Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe Challenge: Anything Goes With Chalk!
Congrats to Melissa who was also selected, and to Heartfelt Thanks who won the challenge!

Hi Debbie. Beautiful tag! I love the layers of cardstock and teh beautifully colorized image of the lady. I love tulle and your use of the brown tulle on the bottom of this tag with the brown flowers is really nice! Thanks for sharing your work with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

Love your blinged out babe, Debbie! And I'm cold too, if it makes you feel better (lol) but not as cold as -25C. Yikes. Just wanted to let you know your link was off in the gingersnap post (I get the digest so maybe you've already been alerted).

Debbie! I just LOVE this tag! Bling looks beautiful the way you painted her with the chalks. The papers you used are so rich in color and work perfectly with the image. You made her your own and so very beautiful!

Bee-utiful tag & image. Like the vintage look to it & pocket also. I'm excited to have been named a Chalkboard Winner. I noticed you live in Novia Scotia Canada. I've visited Canada: Niagara Falls, Vancouver & last yr 2011 Toronto. Would like to see more of your wonderful country.
