Bowtie At The Cabaret
Does anybody else think that "Bowtie" screams Cabaret or Burlesque? Maybe it's because we just watched Burlesque on the weekend, (loved it BTW!), but when I was trying to decide what theme to do for this challenge, I immediately thought of Cabaret when I saw him. I had to find a bowler hat for him to wear to complete the look!
For those of you who are not familiar with Bowtie, you can purchase him in rubber at Stampotique Originals. They also sell other stamps like him by artists Jill Penney & Daniel Torrente as well as other fab rubber. I want them all!
Anyway, here's the techno babble:
I sprayed various colours of Glimmer Mists and Smooch Spritz on a piece of acetate and then dried with heat tool. Attached to white cardstock, then to black cardstock. Added Cuttlebug Die Corners using black cardstock. Lyrics from computer using Jazz font. Added a ticket from Tim Holtz Lost & Found Paper Stash. Coloured his jacket, pants and bowtie with Spica Glitter Markers. Added some black pearls for buttons and his bow.
Isn't he handsome? Go have a look at the other entries in the Stampotique Designers Challenge: Acetate, Stampotique Stamps Only.
But first.....You know how I like to have the perfect video to go with my posts, so I will not disappoint! Sing along if you want! You know you want to.....
Thanks for stopping by! Stay as long as you want and feel free to look around! Leave a word or two before you go...
